The painting on the cover of this issue, "The Hairdressers," is by Boulder artist Gina Blinkenstaff.  She is a portrait artist as well as a painter of still lifes and landscapes.  She is represented by the Dearborn Rieder Gallery in Boulder and the Sarah Howell Gallery in Jonesboro.  Arkansas, and she is a regular exhibitor in Boulder's annual Open Studios Tour.  Her work can also be seen at www.ginablickenstaff.com.
