| “A
New Day (for Humanity)" You might recognize the style of cover artist Gina Blickenstaff, whose work has graced the covers of several past issues of Nexus. Of this most recent painting, Gina states: "The mother represents the developed world and the baby represents the developing world. It expresses my understanding that we are all one family and we need to help our brothers who are struggling. The small statue of the flute player represents the World Teacher, Maitreya, who brings the light to show us the way forward." This painting recently won the Lorenzo di Medici President's Award at the Florence Biennale in Italy. Blickenstaff has been a professional painter in Boulder for over thirty years.
