IMAGINE...YOU
MAY SAY I'M A DREAMER. BUT I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.
I’m standing in John Lennon’s
childhood bedroom at 251 Menlove Avenue in Liverpool, England,
admiring its sloped ceiling, small twin bed, and lovely window
looking out over the street. This is where John lived and created
music for 18 years. Posters of Brigitte Bardot, his favorite ‘60s
actress, line the wall above his bed, and John’s own art
sketches and writings adorn his other walls. Read

YOUR
BIG MOMENT - IF YOU ARE FEELING OVERWHELMED, YOU'RE NOT SEEING
YOUR OPTIONS
Today I had a session with a client in her
early 50s who has worked for IBM for 30 years and is now being
laid off. (Sound familiar?) It didn’t take long to figure
out what her dreams and goals were—that was already clear
from her birth path. She was surprised; I was not. It doesn’t
have to be sooooo hard. Read

SWEET
DREAMS - TAPPING INTO A DEEPER KNOWING WITH DREAMWORK
Do you believe in intuition? Do you think you can tap
into your own future and “see” your next successful
career step? If not, would you consider the possibility that it
might be true?
Maybe you’re smart, successful, practical, realistic and
don’t believe in what you can’t see. But then why
are you in this mess? Why are you rethinking your life? How did
you get laid off or fired? Why are you afraid? You carry the solution
to all of these problems right inside of you, just by tapping
in to your intuition. Read

SECRET
DREAMS
Imagine
this: we’re sitting on a beach, you and I, having a conversation
about life…
“How can I possibly start over?” t ask as we stare
at the waves tumbling towards us. “I’m older now.
Who would hire me?”
“It’s better this way,” I say. “You know
it wasn’t good the way it was. Do you remember being happy?”

TIME
FOR CHANGE - THE UP SIDE OF BEING DOWN
Let’s say you’ve done all the right things
in your career: you went to law school, got a job with a good
firm, and you’re now collecting a nice paycheck and benefits.
But as the age of 30 fast approaches, you may be feeling like
you’re wearing the wrong skin. Being an attorney doesn’t
see to “fit” who you are inside, even as everyone
around you is proud of your accomplishments. You can’t even
discuss your unhappiness with friends; they say, “Be grateful
you have a great job. The economy is terrible, and you won’t
find anything better than what you have.” Read

SEEING
CLEARLY, DESPITE CLOUDS
We’re having tea – strong, sweet tea
- as we sit on the stone veranda overlooking an
emerald sea. You’re laughing and telling funny stories about
the challenges in your life when the conversation turns to career.
“I don’t know – it’s just
not clear to me what my true work is or how to manifest it,”
you explain. “The job I’m doing, well, it pays the
bills. But I feel like I’m dying inside.” Read

THE
JOURNEY
In a dream, I’m standing to the left of a splendidly tall,
ancient wooden wall filled with intricate, deeply-carved Sanskrit
letters. These letters fill lines and lines of the entire structure.
I can’t read what the ancient writing says, but I’m
compelled to understand its meaning. I move closer and run my
fingers across the carved Sanskrit. Behind the great wall is a
deep valley of green forest, expanding as far as I can see. The
forest is silent and motionless, yet stunningly grand. It feels
untouched by time and human existence. Read

FINDING
YOUR PATH WITH NUMBERS
My New Year’s gift to you is a little
game involving numbers. It’s designed to give you a new
perspective on what you’re here to accomplish with your
career. Grab a pencil, and let’s figure out how to make
the best of 2008.
As you know, your life purpose is about using your
unique talents to help others, have fun, love those around you
and create abundance for all. If your work is true to that original
intention, then your work is inspired, enjoyable, meaningful and
prosperous. If it doesn’t feel that way, you’ve probably
fallen off-path. This exercise will help you more clearly determine
your chosen career path. Read
