Why do your children behave as they do? Do you often feel
puzzled – and unsure how to help them grow into happy,
fulfilled adults?
Wouldn’t it be a help if you had inexpensive, discreet
yet experienced professional assistance in understanding
them on a deep level? Because if you did finally come to
understand…chances are your children would perceive
that and not grow up feeling misunderstood. (If you yourself
grew up feeling your parents never came close to understanding
you, you know what a poignant and emotionally debilitating
experience that can be.)
It’s been 25 years now since I, with my doctorate
in psychology from Case Western Reserve University, began
directing my time and energy toward assisting parents rear
their childre with the aid of information provided by their
children’s energy charts.
Why use such a “wacky” instrument?
Most probably like you, I DO NOT BELIEVE IN ASTROLOGY.
AND I CERTAINLY DO NOT BELIEVE IN ASTROLOGICAL PREDICTIONS.
I use astrology because the birth chart, together with what
are called progressions, or metaphorical snapshots of the
inner lives, needs and deep desires of a person as he or
she progresses through time, can give – from a psychological
perspective – important information about a person
that cannot be attained in any other way (except perhaps
30 to 50 hours of intensive and inspired counseling sessions).
Not every astrologer can do this. Not every astrologer
is also a psychologist and psychotherapist. And not every
astrologer knows how to communicate in simple language,
something I developed as a freelance journalist, writer
of 13 published short stories and author of two self-help
books.
Astrology is looked upon with great disfavor by many people,
because in our day and age we cannot accept that planets
influence our personalities, ambitions and relationships.
And we are right. PLANETS DO NOT INFLUENCE US IN ANY WAY
with the exception of the sun and moon.
So why interpret a birth chart?
Because the positions of the planets at the moment and
place of birth are simply a way to distinguish one person
from another (as the year and place of origin distinguishes
a wine, or as your date of birth identifies you on your
driver’s license or bank account). After that one
moment, PLANETS PLAY NO ROLE WHATSOEVER in astrological
interpretation. Rather, it is mathematics and layer upon
layer of metaphors learned through years of study by an
astrologer, that reveal, surprisingly, the inner dynamics
of a particular individual.
Perhaps your child is deeply introverted, not simply because
of shyness but because of strong, depressing energies difficult
to overcome, of which you may have no experience. Perhaps
another of your children has difficulty telling the truth,
not because he or she is an innate liar, but because so
many creative interpretations of reality are bombarding
the mental life of this exceptional child.
Perhaps you fear your son is not masculine enough, when
perhaps he is merely tuning emotionally into a future of
being a top chef. Or perhaps your teenage son shows violent
behavior that you understanding his inner energy conflicts
could help him channel.
By the way, did you know you appear differently in the
charts of each of your children? To one you may appear warm,
supportive, creative and fun – to another picky, domineering,
anxious or stifling. This is important information you can
use to become a better parent to each of your children.
