Every soul on
planet Earth is facing crumbling realities on some level
as Saturn moves into its last quarter and balsamic phases
with Pluto in Capricorn from 2010 - 2020. Where is security?
What will tomorrow bring in today's world? What does the
future hold for me? From the most personal levels to the
broadest recognitions of mundane groups, we all want to
be safe and secure, especially in the current contracting
and upsetting climate.
In the Jeffrey Wolf Green method of Evolutionary Astrology,
Pluto is representative of the Soul, both its separating
and returning desires, which evolve over many lifetimes
of existence. Saturn is the archetype of individuated consciousness
that our - mostly unconscious - Soul utilizes to give structure
to every aspect of the current life. Together, Saturn and
Pluto move through a 33-year cycle that represents a maturation
process for the Soul, and its ability to function in the
world and achieve its desires.
When Saturn is in the final quarter of its relationship
to Pluto, old manifestations in the physical world are released
as they no longer serve the Soul. Outworn structures within
one's consciousness - beliefs, attitudes, emotions and past
life memories that no longer serve are transformed. This
process will create deep fears and insecurities as most
Souls, and societies, continually project the past forward,
or suppress it, in order to maintain what is "known".
This pattern of recreating the past, including deep, entrenched
memories from past incarnations, can create cataclysmic
events in our lives in order to shake things up enough for
the future to unfold and for evolution to take place. It
takes courage and conscious effort along with natural willpower
for most Souls to venture into an unknown future.
When we explore the natal position of Pluto, an entire
archetypal history of the Soul's past lives, or karmic dynamic,
comes to the surface. The current life's evolutionary intent
of the Soul is understood through the polarity point of
natal Pluto. Both the Soul's karmic dynamics and evolutionary
lessons are in process of evolution through the newly unfolding
transit of Pluto in Capricorn.
Saturn's affinity to "put a lid on" everything
the Soul needs to release into consciousness will be greatly
diminished as it surrenders to Pluto over the next decade.
Even with Pluto in the sign of Saturn's rulership the theme
is still metamorphosis of current reality. The past needs
to be made known, brought up into the light of consciousness
to be understood, processed and released where necessary,
so that we may freely avail ourselves to the choices and
opportunities ahead of us.
