How sweet it is

Candy may not only make your sweet tooth happy, it may also lengthen your life, according to a recent study of male Harvard graduates. The study found that chocolate and candy eaters live almost a year longer than those who abstain. Moderate sweet eaters, averaging one to three candy bars a month, fared the best, although men who ate three or more sweets a week still had a 16 percent lower risk of death than those who almost never ate candy. Researchers theorize it might be the antioxidant chemicals present in chocolate, or the regular celebration of a special treat that boosts mood and results in longer life.
