Olive oil and sage cut lung cancer risk

       An Italian study found that olive oil and sage were associated with a decreased risk of lung cancer. The hospital-based, case-control study included 342 patients with newly diagnosed lung cancer, age 35 and older. Other foods typical to a Mediterranean diet, including carrots, tomatoes and white meat, also showed a protective effect, but were not as significant.
