Drinking water not necessary

As long as adequate fluids are consumed in beverages or in foods, drinking water is not necessary, says a recent study. The clinical trial was designed to compare the effect of hydration between people who drank water and those who didn’t. In the first part of the trial, 27 men drank plain water as part of their daily diet; in the second part of the trial, the same men didn’t drink water. Body weight and urine volumes were measured, and researchers found no differences between body weight or other indicators of hydration.
